The Effectiveness of a Proposed Training Program in the Development of Science Fiction and Cognitive Aspects Related to it on General Diploma Students in Education at Jazan University, Saudi Arabia

Abstract:                   

     The aim of this study is to build a training program and measure its effectiveness in the development of Science Fiction, and cognitive aspects related to it on general diploma students in Education at the Deanship of Community Service and Continuing Education , Jazan University.

    In order to achieve this, the researcher prepared the proposed training program, and study tools (science fiction test and achievement test), and then selected the two groups of the research (experimental and control) of the diploma students in public education.

   The researcher did a pre-application of measurement tools on the two groups of research, after that he carried out the proposed training program on the experimental research group, and did a post-application of measurement on the two groups of the research.

 The results of the study proved clearly the effectiveness of the proposed training program in the development of science fiction, and cognitive aspects related to it on the students of the experimental group students compared to control group students.

   The researcher set a number of recommendations including interest in using science fiction as an approach to teaching science at different stages of education and training teachers on it.
